Responsibilities:

• Performs systematic checks and inspections of plant equipment and assists in the established preventive maintenance
• program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns, and general depreciation.
• Notifies the Method Coordinator about potential failures or out-of-standard operating conditions.
• Troubleshoot and corrective DC maintenance: if there is dust reported in an area, we get a call to find and correct the problem. Corrective maintenance includes changing bags, unplugging lines, balancing lines, cleaning out hoppers, etc.
• Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual inspections: these are maintenance routines that are documented and reported to the environmental department and the government.
• Perform inspection on kiln Bull Gear, Tyre, Ball Mill Bull Gear, and Hydrocool.
• Work as back-up Lubrication Technician.
• Mechanical work: Weld patches and repair dust collector pipes, replace and align fan bearings and belts, and clean fan runners.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Plant 95% of time Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations.
• Office 5% of time behind a computer.
