Looking to add a Junior Accountant to our team to provide support to the Accounting and Finance department with managing daily accounting tasks.
Junior Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurate
- Update accounts receivable and reconcile
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Assist with reviewing of expenses
- Assist Accounts Payable when needed
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist senior accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
- Help maintain the General Ledger
- Proven experience as a junior accountant
- Excellent organizing abilities
- Attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen, must have
- strong knowledge of Pivot tables and V Look-up
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Positive attitude with strong desire to learn
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. Navision)
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
