Responsibilities:

• Gathering patient information and health background
• Providing excellent, compassionate, patient care and support
• Taking X-rays of patient’s teeth
• Preparing and reviewing treatment plans with patients
• Preparing the work area for procedures
• Assisting the dentist by handing them instruments and equipment, taking notes as needed.
• Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits
• Directing patients and maintaining schedule
• Stocking treatment areas and monitoring inventory
• Dental charting

Qualifications:

• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Compassionate care toward patients
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude
• Complies with all regulations, protocols, and procedures
• Degree from school accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and American Dental Association
• Dental Assisting certification: Licensed, registered, or certified by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)
• X-Ray Certification: Meet all local and state requirements to operate radiography equipment
