GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the preparation of all food items at station according to specifications
and preset time limits.
Tasks include but not limited to:
1. Preparing and cooking food according to specifications
2. Maintaining the optimal quality of food served according to company standards
3. Maintaining the correct portion size of all menu items
4. Making sure that the kitchen and all food products are maintained according to
health code standards
5. Cutting and cleaning of all meat, fish, poultry and vegetables according to
specifications
6. Using and maintaining all kitchen equipment (gas ranges, knives etc.) correctly
and safely
7. Ordering necessary food products in a timely and cost-effective manner
8. Receiving and stocking of products in appropriate locations
Requirements:
Skillset (Knowledge & Abilities):
1. Knowledge and skills in preparing and cooking food according to specifications
2. Using knives and other cooking utensils correctly and safely
3. Being able to regularly perform the essential functions of the job (bending and
reaching; lifting and transporting up to 100 pounds (containers, dish racks, dry
goods, used linen bins and trash cans); standing and moving around for up to 8
hours per shift)
4. Having adequate English language skills in order to communicate effectively with
guests and co-workers
