The Project Manager coordinates assigned projects, ensures communication and is the customer liaison through machine acceptance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

2. Model and champion our leadership qualities (live Douglas values, chart the course, energize others and raise the bar).
3. Responsible for reviewing and responding to changes in customer specifications.
4. Resolve project issues in a timely manner. Elevate issues effecting critical milestones to the appropriate management level.
5. Work with the master scheduler and team leaders to formulate a project schedule. (Schedule will include all key events from machine order through machine acceptance).
6. Provide input to Master Schedule to keep project schedules updated.
7. Communicate project updates to Customers, Project Members and Douglas Management.
8. Responsible for all facets of test product and supporting material.
9. Schedule project meetings (design reviews, assembly start, customer acceptance) and prepare the final machine report.
10. Help resolve warranty and good will issues.
11. Is involved at acceptance testing when required.
12. Review trip reports for machine installation and machine acceptance testing and follow issues until all are resolved.
13. Review billings for machine installation and machine acceptance testing and approve for invoicing. Does this in conjunction with the Install Advisor.
14. Work with Accounting, Customer Service and the Customer to resolve payments and or warranty issues.
15. Work with other business units to manage integrated projects.
16. Will travel to customer locations as needed to ensure Customer and Douglas expectations are being met.
17. Work with the Install Lead to resolve. When necessary elevate these issues to the appropriate management level.
18. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the department manager.
19. Keep work area clean and organized, ensuring we make a positive impression on our customers.
20. Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures.
21. Provide the shipping/receiving department with complete machine shipping information.
22. Work with the Customer Service Department to communicate requirements for spare parts.
23. Work with the customer to complete the Installation Sheet document and with the Install Lead to acquire and communicate details for equipment installation and customer acceptance testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Technical knowledge of Douglas Machine Inc.'s product lines, sales procedures and company business processes is desired.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent education and 5 years of experience working with customers and providing technical solutions to packaging industry requirements.
