DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - North Shore Conference Center is Hiring a Guest Service Agent/Night Audit Near Skokie, IL

  • Welcome guest upon arrival and check-in according to established standards and procedures.
  • To handle all keys, mail, telephone, messages, and other items for guests as requested.
  • To provide information and to assist all guests.
  • To provide courteous and efficient service and if possible, to comply with every guest request.
  • To make reservations at the counter when the reservation department is closed.
  • To assign a room and prepare keys for all arriving guests and groups.
  • Maintain excellent guest relations with in-house guests at all times.
  • Post all charges immediately and update the folios.
  • Balance credit cards, charges, and cash.
  • Project a courteous and hospitable attitude at all times.
  • Be familiar with all room types, and rates in the hotel and upsell.
  • Handle guest complaints promptly.
  • Know guest room security, emergency, and fire procedures.
  • Be familiar with hotel facilities as well as major-city attractions and provide guests with information when requested.
  • Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlets' (e.g., restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information. (30%)
  • Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed. (25%)
  • Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing. (20%)
  • Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports. (5%)
  • Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily. (5%)
  • Run night audit nightly after ensuring all revenues are in balance. (5%)
  • Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk including express checkouts. (5%)
