Account Manager

Double J Transport is seeking an experienced Logistics Account Manager to join our growing team in the development of a freight brokerage.

Double J Transport is headquartered in Jackson, WI and consists of 240 semi-trucks hauling freight across all 48 states. Double J Transport is currently offering an exceptional career opportunity in its Brokerage Department for a self-motivated professional.

Role Description

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts and providing outstanding customer service to grow existing accounts.

- Provide outstanding customer service to further develop existing accounts.

- Perform daily operations for customer accounts including order entry and load monitoring, coordination of freight movements, customer communication, and management of customer needs.

- Analyze and resolve in-transit issues, taking client satisfaction and costs into consideration in determining the best solution; consults with client and recommends solution as appropriate.

- Ensure all fiduciary responsibilities are met and that all fees and costs are documented for each load

- Act as a liaison between clients, carriers, shippers and receivers.

- Be aware of the market conditions through research and evaluate loads for potential profitability; select or reject loads, taking into consideration both profitability and the need to maintain ongoing business relationships.

- Analyze past carrier performance, schedules, cost and availability of appropriate equipment in selecting carrier for each load.

- Cold call prospects as needed

- Provides backup support for other team members as needed.

- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Must have excellent communication skills utilizing both phone and email

- Background in transportation preferred

- Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred

- Detail oriented

Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
