EMC Mechanical Services is searching for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Construction department! The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in providing management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment. The Assistant Project Manager will also assist with ensuring that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the responsibility for the procurement, sale and management of projects from inception to completion of the work.
• Learn how to develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
• Track and control construction schedules and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
• Meet regularly with the Project Manager to monitor progress towards achieving established goals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage needs with current jobs.
• Maintain a stream of communication with the General Contractor, engineers/architects and all end users.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• Certificate Program, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/HVAC or Construction Management is preferred.
• Experience in HVAC/Plumbing/Mechanical trades is preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Project, Blue Beam, or Procore is preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to build and lead a team that effectively services customers and consistently delivers a high quality product.
• Knowledge of current state and federal codes and regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies and procedures.
• Able to read/use blueprints.
• Superior customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb. 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted. 
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
