About the Team

The Leave of Absence & Accommodation Business Partner role sits on the LOAA Team and is part of the larger Benefits Operations/Total Rewards team. The Total Rewards team’s mission is to support the People Team in attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining a diverse, productive, and passionate workforce that successfully grows DoorDash business. About the Role

As a Leave of Absence & Accommodation Business Partner, your primary responsibility is to guide and support employees, managers, and stakeholders through the entire leave lifecycle. This includes the critical stages of initiating leave, ensuring accurate coordination, determining eligibility, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and policies, including return to work and accommodations while working closely with all other business stakeholders. We are seeking a versatile, quick-thinking team member to join our Leave & Accommodation Team and support employees company-wide. This role is a full-time opportunity. You will report into the Leave of Absence Manager on our Total Rewards team in our People organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Strategically Manage Leave and Accommodation Activities: Oversee and refine the management of day to day leave activities and accommodations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and global regulations. 
  • Coordinate Complex Programs: Lead the coordination of various programs during the employee leave process including but not limited to company-provided STD, LTD, and Paid Parental Leave as well as locally mandated programs. Apply your deep understanding of diverse leave types to ensure seamless integration and administration. 
  • Lead Collaborative Efforts with Key Stakeholders: Take a lead role in collaborating with stakeholders including HR Business Partners, managers, and our Payroll and Legal teams
  • Advanced Caseload Management: Apply your advanced organizational and time management skills to manage a complex caseload, overseeing the entire lifecycle of each case from initiation to resolution. 
  • Expert Response to Inquiries: Provide expert-level responses to employee questions and inquiries ensuring clarity, compliance, and compassion in all communications.
  • Drive Other Strategic Initiatives: Engage in and lead other related initiatives as needed, leveraging your strategic thinking and problem solving skills to contribute to broader organizational objectives.

  • You’re an outstanding communicator with sophisticated relationship-building skills. You are known for your ability to influence others, engage in meaningful dialogue, and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics. You have significant experience in leave and accommodation management. You bring substantial background with 5 years of direct, high-level experience in managing leaves and accommodations. This experience should reflect not only a depth of knowledge in operational aspects but also strategic insights and leadership capabilities.

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
