Talent Acquisition Specialist

The TAS will source and build dependable pipelines and strong relationships within the community. We are looking for someone who has an outside sales mindset and a passion for people.   • Partner with schools, colleges, unemployment offices, etc., to build strong candidate pipelines
  • Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind
  • Implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants 
  • Implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates
  • Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline

Required skills and qualifications

  • Account/territory management, relationship building, excellent communication skills
  • Two or three years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Indeed and LinkedIn
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems

Required Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or three years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Outstanding communication skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with schools, colleges, unemployment offices, etc., to build strong candidate pipelines
  • Work with internal teams and hiring managers to assist with recruitment efforts.
  • Assist with both external and internal hiring efforts (internal recruitment meaning assessment of employees for different or more senior roles.)
  • Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring managers. Follows up to obtain feedback regarding overall experience (from candidates and hiring managers).
  • Identify future talent needs and proactively recruiting and sourcing; develop talent pool or social engagements.
  • Use sophisticated applicant tracking systems and other recruiting software to track applicants through the selection phase through to on-boarding.
  • Processes job requisitions.
  • Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  • Provides relevant company information to potential applicants.
  • Other duties as assigned
