Dometic Marine is Hiring a Customer Account Manager Near Litchfield, IL

Description

Dometic Marine’s facility in Litchfield, Illinois is our main distribution center that manages the packaging and distribution of aftermarket marine and OPE industrial products.

The Customer Account Manager is integral to our Customer Service teams and is responsible for handling key customers that have high volume and multiple million-dollar accounts.

Reports to: Sr. Customer Service Manager

Position is onsite only; looking for local candidates

Relocation is not available for this position.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsibility to communicate with customers, estimate and enter orders, and perform a variety of additional activities to facilitate excellent customer relationships supporting Sales, Manufacturing, and shipping operations
  • Has a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and works with production staff to achieve on-time customer deliveries
  • Responsible for multiple accounts of medium to large customers with high complexity
  • Communicate with customers regarding issues such as order status, shipping discrepancies, and backorders
  • Resolve service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication with the sales team and the customers
  • Create reports to update customers on open order status and explain backordered product
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and work to establish a positive rapport
  • Update and maintain daily reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area preferred
  • 4 years experience with customer service account management for large volume/high mix, multi-million dollar accounts
  • Experience working with a multi-cultural client and customer base
  • Experience working within manufacturing/distribution or warehouse facility
  • Software systems experience with MRP/ERP systems; Power BI; Microsoft Excel (must be able to capture and record data, create pivot tables, sort and filter data, build charts and graphs, and use formula functions),

  • Ability to apply knowledge to new situations and use common sense to resolve customer questions.
