Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our growing team. This role would be responsible for building, maintaining and designing multiple web stores, the Doing Things website and our library of clips. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Shopify full stack development and can illustrate flexibility working on projects that encompass both web stores and standard website builds. This position reports into the VP of Operations.

We are ideally looking for someone in the New York area, who is willing to work from our New York City office on a hybrid schedule, approximately 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Own front and back end development aspects of new and existing eCommerce and marketing sites.
  • Propose and execute all site enhancements including integration of social content and platforms.
  • Provide best-in-class recommendations on front and back end UX and UI.
  • Regularly perform consistent and accurate QA on all browser and device types.
  • Partner with the Data & Analytics Team to manage A/B testing plans across all domains and present results.
  • Balance role priorities in tandem with business priorities.
  • Regularly present projects and data to executive level team members.
  • Enact a “mobile first” attitude, ensuring our sites and content are optimized for that experience.
  • Maintain and update existing web stores, company website and company library/submission portal for content.
  • Working cross-departmentally with the Commerce, Marketing, Licensing, and Operations teams.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience developing Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts including, but not limited to, app integration and development, A/B testing, and theme customizations.
  • Fluency in .liquid language and Github.
  • Experience building Node.js Apps (Express.js, Koa.js).
  • Expert level JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
  • Experience working with databases including MySQL.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Experience building and using APIs.
  • Experience with Vue.js or React.js.
  • Strong time management skills.

The base salary for this position at the time of posting will range from $130,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
