As a union facility, we prioritize both the safety of our employees and the satisfaction of our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated Production Manager to join our team. As the Production Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing our unionized manufacturing operations. In this role, you will join a team of four individuals responsible for coordinating customer orders and ensuring timely and efficient production. Starting salary is between $70K-$90K with a comprehensive benefits package!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with a scheduler to plan and prioritize daily production tasks.
• Work with the Quality Management team to maintain and improve product quality.
• Operate in a union shop, where safety is paramount, and priorities are reviewed collectively.
• Manage a diverse team with varying skill sets, acting as a coach and facilitator.
• Ensure efficient production without direct involvement in task-specific instructions.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email communication, and our EPICOR system.

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in mechanical principles to comprehend production processes and plant equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Prior experience or familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel for effective data management and reporting.
• Proficiency in customer service, encompassing communication with production, sales, and estimating teams.
• Responsible for handling communication with customers, including expediting notices and providing shipment updates.
