Operations Manager

Dogtopia of Papillion-Shadow Lake has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to lead out team as Operations Manager. This is a role for someone with a management and operations background who understands hard work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs- and, upon successful
completion of our evaluation, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you!

Qualifications

· Must have an operations and process background with extensive dog handling and canine behavior experience

· Extensive hiring, team retention, scheduling and payroll experience a must!

· This person thrives in a fast paced, physical and mentally challenging environment

· Dog handling: 3 years (Required)

· Have a flexible schedule and be willing to work some evenings, weekends and holidays

· Papillion-Shadow Lake: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

· Leading by example and creating teamwork is your management style with an upbeat energetic personality to create a great environment for our team and our pups in our care

· We are open from 7 to 7 but are always there caring for our overnight guests so this person must be flexible with their schedule to ensure that our strict safety protocols are always upheld

· Creates weekly staffing schedule and monitors and revises payroll hours based on company needs

· Excellent interviewing skills and ability to track and mentor canine coach candidates through trainees to canine coach 3

· Leads by example by jumping into the dog playrooms and cleaning

· Delivers written performance reviews and creates fun contests and goals for staff

· Hold Team accountable for the safety of their team and dogs in their care

· Outstanding communication skills to discuss day to day goals and weekly events to team members

· Insist on Clean and Safe Environment to ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment we take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete

· Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards

· Creates behavior modification plans for dogs with behavioral issues

· Dismisses dogs proactively who create unsafe environment after communicating with the parents all the appropriate steps

· Manage spa appts and delegates appropriate staff to provide quality control of work, safety, schedules and client records

· Develops team in up-selling treats, enrichment activities and enrollment

· Maintains controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively look for ways to maximize efficiency

· Communicates any concerns or needs to franchise owner proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issues

· As operation manager you are responsible to build relationships with our pet parents and our team members to ensure our customer experience sets the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers
