In the Senior Director of Engineering - Identity role, you will lead the team that is responsible for DocuSign Agreement Cloud’s high-volume, low-latency user management services. Docusign Identity team builds and operates authentication and authorization stack for Agreement Cloud, the scope includes securely storing user data in a distributed system and enabling connections between components of the Agreement Cloud. The responsibility also includes identifying inefficiencies in design and architecture and driving to eliminate them while increasing security and stability for current customers, creating applications and services that will enable the transparent use of identity and authorization services, driving innovation and standardizing the technical stack, while migrating the legacy systems to Public Cloud and mentoring and contributing to the growth of other engineers by being a thought leader and becoming a domain expert.
You will be successful in this role if you are a critical thinker with the ability to quickly understand existing systems, have past experience in architecting Identity systems, the ability to mentor and gain respect from the team, and the ability to work in agile environments. You are someone that can take smart and educated risks.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the VP, Engineering - Sign.
Responsibility
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $216,500.00 - $345,200.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $201,600.00 - $284,850.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $201,600.00 - $305,750.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
