What you'll do

Our business is built on finding great people and getting out of their way while they build and improve our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering.

Docusign is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager - Commerce & PLG to join our Commerce & PLG engineering team. The Engineering Manager - Commerce & PLG will lead multiple initiatives across the organization. This position is a technical management role focusing on the Commerce and PLG platforms for Docusign’s business.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering.

Responsibility

• Lead the Commerce and PLG team to drive projects from idea formulation, to design, and through to implementation
• Work with product and project team to understand and translate Commerce integration requirements into software requirements that are well defined, measurable and attainable
• Work as part of a multi-platform development team in the design, implementation, testing and release of new solutions
• Drive strong partnerships with the product management, business, and other stakeholders
• Set team strategy and be accountable for team plans and deliverables
• Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team through hiring as well mentoring, and coaching
• Help define the vision and roadmap for Commerce and PLG platform
• Collaborate with other engineering and cross-functional teams located in the US
• Provide strong technical leadership to the team and partner teams

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic 

• 5 years of engineering experience in building software applications.
• 5 years of professional experience building scalable and highly available applications
• 3 years of people management experience
• BS degree in CS or equivalent work experience

Preferred 

• Engineering leadership experience
• Passion for learning and working with new technologies
• Product development experience building large scale web applications
• Strong project management skills and experience with agile/scrum
• Highly motivated self-starter with a bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality data solutions
• Attention to detail and quality with excellent problem solving and communication skills

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $151,800 - $245,150 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800 - $214,350 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
