What you'll do
Docusign is looking for a Software Engineer to join the In Product Growth team. This team will work across different parts of the product organization to create end to end best in class experiences. This team builds experience to promote growth through in-product experiences.
The successful candidate will have a strong product engineering background and proficiency in C#, Azure or other cloud microservice development.
You enjoy fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You will help the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggest ways to make the team more effective, and mentor and model engineering best practices.
As a member of the core engineering group, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and dev ops engineers to ensure high quality and timely product releases. You are a hands-on technical resource who will be responsible for issues related to product features, performance, speed, scale, security and accessibility.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering.
Responsibility

• Architect, implement and maintain some of Docusign's highest scale services
• Build APIs to power the next generation of Docusign's customer multi-screen experiences that are responsive, highly performant and AI driven
• Help drive developer efficiencies through engineering best practices, automation, and CI/CD
• Work with world class telemetry systems to work through complex problems and solve them with data
• Guide and mentor other engineers through design and code reviews
• Revolutionize DocuSign core services and API's
• Think through how systems will scale and fail as they grow
• Take complicated problems and break them down in to bite sized pieces, then ship every few weeks to get there
• Work throughout the stack, from network protocols to database performance and back

Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic

• 5 years of software engineering experience in high scale distributed systems
• 5 years of experience building resilient and highly available web services
• 4 years of working in NodeJS, C#, as well as database experience with NoSQL
• Experience documenting architectural standards and decisions
• Experience in full stack development
• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred

• Experience with SaaS or Cloud
• Experience with CI/CD

Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $134,900.00 - $216,975.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $129,000.00 - $182,250.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $129,000.00 - $190,550.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
