DNV – Digital Solution’s Ship Product Line is seeking a Software Application Support Engineer to join our Customer Care team. This team of subject matter experts is responsible for supporting and training clients of our Ship Management software around APAC.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for providing timely and thorough responses to solution inquiries from end-user clients arriving via phone or email
• Liaising/Collaborating with product expert colleagues to resolve complex questions
• Tracking support calls to conclusion and performing follow-up analysis
• Update and add Knowledge Base articles for internal and client use
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Support onboard vessel implementation as required
• Educate users on how to optimize their experience with the software by conducting multi-day classroom training in our offices, online/virtual, or at client sites as required

Position Qualifications

What Is Required

• Bachelor of Science degree in IT/Computer Science required
• Knowledge of application support for ERP, Accounting/Financial software, shipping industry solutions would be an advantage
• Excellent ability to prioritize work while juggling multiple tasks & client requests
• Strong interpersonal skills and genuine desire to help customers solve their software questions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong written and verbal in English & Chinese communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Willing to work weekends (if required)
• Willingness and ability to travel (if required)

OPTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Citrix, Sybase, MS SQL-Server
• Remote Installation, deployment and support.
• Active Directory (user and resource management)
• Knowledge with database administration (SQL Language)
