Overview

A casual family of five ( two adults three young children) in Hillsborough, CA, is seeking a talented and passionate Personal Chef to cook for them on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will prepare lunches and dinners two days a week. NOTE: The family will move to Woodside in August, so the hired candidate must be comfortable driving there then. 

The family enjoys various cuisines; their preferences range from simple to more complex, and they always remain focused on healthy, local, organic foods. The ideal chef for this position keenly understands healthy plant-forward cooking. One of the children has a severe peanut allergy, so chefs interested in this opportunity must be willing to make a total commitment to working methodically to ensure the safety of our client's child. 

The hired chef will prepare and leave dinners for the cook day dinner, school lunches, and snacks for the following day. No table service/plating is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparing interesting and healthy meals for dinners and school lunches
• Grocery shopping for all food items
• Leave healthy snacks in the refrigerator
• Organize and manage the kitchen/food pantry
• Kitchen sanitation/organization
• Shopping for household supplies
• Utilize produce from the family's garden!
• After August: cook in the family's guest house
• No travel or entertaining

Applicant Requirements:

• Must have luxury restaurant & private cooking experience
• Must be COVID vaccinated and boosted
• Must be discreet, organized, and sensitive to client's needs
• Longevity in past positions
• Musty be authorized to work legally in the United States
• Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, knee, squat, crouch, bend and crawl. Ability to lift, push and pull
• Must have excellent references from past employers and be able to pass an in-depth background investigation

Compensation:

• $65-$80 per hour | DOE
• Guaranteed weekly hours 

Qualified candidates will be scheduled for paid trials.
