Job Description:
A Data Analyst is needed for eCommerce Group, seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for importing JSON format data from our web and eCommerce portal to Excel, meticulously analyzing order data, and delivering actionable intelligence to our sales team. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Import and Transformation:
- Proficiently import JSON format data from web and eCommerce portals.
- Transform and organize data into Excel spreadsheets for further analysis.
2. Data Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of order data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Utilize statistical methods to derive meaningful insights, perform correlations, hypotheses tests etc.
3. Intelligence Delivery:
- Provide timely and accurate intelligence reports to the sales team
- Hands-on experience in developing impressive visualization using Power BI/ Tableau and presenting to senior stakeholders in a story form
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance decision-making processes.
4. Technical Proficiency:
- Possess expertise in Excel for data manipulation and analysis
- Ability to write SQL queries for data extraction/ manipulation
- Proficiency with any ETL tool and data management experience would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with data visualization tools to present findings effectively.
5. Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify data-related challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Continuously optimize data processes for efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
- 5 years of Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in handling JSON format data and Excel.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborative work.
Preferred Skills:
- Programming skills in languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and order processing systems.
- Understanding of web analytics and tracking tools.
