The Courtroom Clerk is responsible for capturing and maintaining a verbatim record of court proceedings and for entering case information during and after the proceedings. The Courtroom Clerk also supports the operations of the courts.
This announcement will create a roster for all Superior Court Courtroom Clerk positions.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADE 7: High School Diploma or GED plus three (3) years of administrative or clerical experience in a court, legal or office environment; or an Associate's degree plus (1) years of administrative or clerical experience in a court, legal or office environment
Some familiarity with the criminal judicial system, judicial branch or legal terminology is preferred.
Must possess the ability to: multi-task, work well with a diverse group of people, accurately type in real time while monitoring a proceeding, attention to detail, attentiveness, organized, and able to work under pressure.
The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts' values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Fairness, Integrity, Respect and Transparency.
