Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Vice President of Procurement.

This is a remote opportunity. 

The Vice President of Procurement is a transformative leadership role and is accountable for the developing the strategic vision and execution of sourcing practices that drive optimal value and efficiency across the enterprise. The Vice President of Procurement will lead and execute on strategies for sourcing, procurement, non-labor spend expense management, and supplier engagement, ensuring a collaborative partnership across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute on Procurement Strategy: Craft and communicate a strategic sourcing procurement vision to achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Supplier relationship and Performance Management: Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers, driving mutual value creation. Oversee supplier performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and performance metrics.
• Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead complex contract negotiations, securing favorable terms that provide value and mitigate risk. Implement and oversee a robust contract lifecycle management process.
• Innovation and Process Improvement: Drives innovation within the sourcing function by leveraging technology, analytics, and best practices to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
• Value Analysis and Expense Management: Develop and management initiatives and programs to ensure the selection of high-quality, cost-effective products and services. Develop strategies for non-labor expense management, optimizing the organization's capital budget.
• Risk Management: Develop and execute a supply chain risk management plan that includes disaster recovery processes. Incorporate risk mitigation strategies into all aspects of sourcing and supplier management.

Qualifications:

• Ten years of experience in supply chain strategy, product management, strategic sourcing, and procurement in a large, national, matrix organization.
• Experience developing a ground-up procurement function navigation between strategy and hands-on execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience that provides a commanding knowledge of supply chain management fundamentals. Master’s degree a plus.
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) a plus.
