Description

The Development Controller will direct all accounting affairs for the Project. They will manage the month-end closing process, annual audit, day-to-day operations, and accounting processes and policies. Additionally, they will assist in the preparation of management reports and the annual budgeting process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete audit work papers and work with external auditors in order to complete audits among all entities
• Prepare tax work papers and work with external tax preparers in order to complete all tax returns and quarterly estimates
• Prepare internal financial management reports, all required monthly budget variance analysis and annual budget
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances and Supervise club accounting operations
• Interface with various departments, outside agencies, customers, and vendors in exchanging information responding to requests
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the management and ownership teams as well as prepare monthky sales reports
• Manage cash position of the project and manage the accounts payable function of the project as well as any required insurance programs
• Maintain commission and management fee schedules and project business plan
• Maintain all required balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for computer systems including Sage Intacct, Jonas, Adaptive Planning and FloQast for the project
• Any/all other tasks necessary to accomplish the departmental and project goals.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university, preferably in Finance/Accounting
• 5 years of job-related skill/knowledge, CPA license preferred.
• Experience with accounting software; Timberline & Jonas highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
