Low Voltage/Voice and Data Cable Technician

Direct2Technology has an urgent need to hire a Retail Structured Cabling Technicians in the Las Vegas area! Travel required as needed. Per diem and travel costs paid.

Job Description of a Structured Cabling Technician:

The Structured Cabling Technician position assists in the planning and execution of Structured Cabling jobs. This position is critical in helping to assure that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget with the highest quality and customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Structured Cabling Technician:

  • Perform all duties of an Apprentice and Installer
  • Periodically perform duties as a Site Lead – Lead small projects or parts of projects as needed
  • Site Safety Compliance/PPE
  • Site Housekeeping
  • Test Results
  • Punch Walk/List Generation (Substantial Completion)
  • Daily Progress Reports
  • Project Commissioning
  • Maintain current industry knowledge
  • Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of network topologies
  • Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of codes and standards
  • Review blueprints or work orders to install, move, change, repair, or remove voice, data, video, and audio communications cables.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required
  • Assist with material loading and off-loading
  • Represent D2T with professionalism and integrity
  • Perform all assigned duties Safely adhering to the highest Quality standards
  • Provide the highest level of customer service with continuous communication (verbal and written)
  • Perform all functions of the position and other duties that may be assigned
  • Work well with others and under leadership of lead technician
  • Starting at $22 / HR (based on experience and skill level)

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
