Dircks Moving & Logistics is Hiring a Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift Near Tolleson, AZ

Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator who will be involved in interactions with our customers, operations, and customer support while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
This position is 3 days a week 12 hour shifts with rotating Sundays. 
Shift Differential: $1 per hour
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
  • Vaults goods into designated containers
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers.
  • Assembles customer orders from racking and prepares orders for delivery out.
  • Pad wraps furniture items.
  • Receives shipments into the warehouse
  • Repairs vaults and lift vans as needed
  • Help as needed on both the household and logistics end of warehouse shipments.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Maintain warehouse free from trash and comply with safety and OSHA standards.
  • Must wear uniforms acceptable to the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess and maintain a current forklift certification, if operating forklift at any time. If you do not have a current forklift certification, we can provide you training and certification on the job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
