Martinic Engineering is Hiring a Second Shift Inspector/CMM Operator/1st Piece Buy-Off Near Tolleson, AZ

Well established Aerospace Manufacturing company has an immediate need for an experienced Second Shift Inspector with fundamental PC-DMIS skills. Martinic Engineering a division of Trimas Aerospace has a rare opportunity to join this fast-paced team-oriented company offering some of the top wages and benefits in the valley.

In addition to very competitive wages, Martinic offers a exceptional shift premium for this second shift position (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Friday).

The selected candidate will perform mechanical inspection in aerospace machine shop environment. They must be able to read and interpret standard drawings and blueprints as well as industry and customer specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Inspector is responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspection of production parts to ensure conformance to company, customer, and industry requirements.
  • CMM Plate layout / Complete AS9102 FAIR, and Final Inspection of Aerospace Parts
  • Compares completed product with parts list, drawings, blueprints, Customer purchase order, Customer specifications and/or sample model to ensure that the product meets Customer expectations. Perform the verification of specified dimensions of product or material.
  • Performs first article inspections and completes all associated documentation.
  • Receives and inspects Vendor parts for compliance with required process, certification, and any other required paperwork. Documents and reports on all discrepancies.
  • Set-up CMM Programs using PC-DMIS software.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Education, Training, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • Knowledge of AS9100 certified quality systems.
  • Ability to complete AS9102 First Article Inspections and reports.
  • Ability to operate/ program CMM both manual and PC-DMIS based, profilometer, and comparator.
  • Familiarity with and ability to use standard inspection tools.
  • Experience and competence with MS Windows based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform follow-up assignments as needed.

Work Environment:

· The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The noise level can be loud to very loud for short periods when tracking or expediting orders requires plant or manufacturing exposure.
