Job Summary:

NOVA-Diné is in search of a Network Installation Technician to become a part of our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team located in Ft. Meade, MD. This role will include discovery analysis and design activities required to migrate common IT services from multiple large-scale DoD agencies into DoDNet. The selected candidate will be part of the Defense Enclave Services (DES) team to support data collection, design, and implementation of tasks associated with the management of: cable plant, floor space, heating and cooling, physical data center security, information technology (IT) hardware/devices. The DES program is a highly demanding mission and requires expert technical and professional management to support DISA's enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. You will be supporting a large and complex IT discovery, design, and migration effort towards a Single Service Provider model for the Department of Defense.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organizes and directs network installations on site surveys.
• Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements.
• Designs and optimizes network topologies.
• Directs and leads preparation of engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.
• Develops installation schedules.
• Mobilizes network installation team.
• Directs and leads preparation of drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.
• Prepares site installation and test reports.
• Coordinates post installation operations and maintenance support.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

• Active Secret clearance required!
• BA/BS in a technical or managerial discipline with 5 years of experience relevant to the position responsibilities. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Must have (at minimum) an IAT Level II certification (Security , CCNA Security, GSEC, etc.)
• High voltage power experience
• Ability to read design blueprints/cutouts
• Cabling Experience (CAT 5/6 and or fiber)
• Network device installation experience (rack/stack and switches/routers)
