Dillon Supply Company is Hiring an Outside Sales Representative Near Chattanooga, TN

Dillon Supply Company, a distributor of MRO Industrial and Safety Products, is seeking a high-energy, self-starter to build and maintain a profitable sales territory in the Chattanooga, TN market as well as managing and ensuring the health of the branch overall, through leadership of other salespeople in the market. The customer base consists of Industrial, Metal working, PVF and Construction related companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will support the stability and growth of the branch through sales and managerial tasks.
  • Grow existing accounts through establishing customer relationships, assisting customers to solve problems, and helping customers become more profitable and productive.
  • Establish new customers in construction, industrial, PVF & Metal working through cold calling and direct selling.
  • Continually meet or exceed sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.
  • Develop and implant an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Research competitor’s products and pricing as well as market conditions.
  • Strategically negotiate with potential and existing customers to close sales.
  • Effectively assess customer needs, present product and solutions, and follow up to close sales. (Full cycle customer management and account management).
  • Improves profitability, product penetration, and product mix with all customers.
  • Support and achieve personal and company sales & margin goals.
  • Providing the proper paperwork to the corporate office in a timely manner
  • Focus on building a team atmosphere within the branch
  • Resolve customer Service Issues
  • Schedules and plans the delivery of material to customer locations throughout the region
  • Review specific vendors when a product manager makes a visit to the branch
  • Understand the Corporate Sales and Marketing structure of the company by working closely with the Regional Manager
  • Make sure the Marketing plan (by customer) is laid out and is properly executed by the salesperson
  • Price Pages (by customer)—understanding the procedure for setting up and maintaining price pages—keeping them up-to-date
  • Understanding the Price MATRIX and how it works
  • Credit—Review of Accounts with Collection Issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous, successful experience (minimum of 2yr) in outside sales, preferably in construction/PVF/Industrial related industry.
  • Experience developing new accounts through cold calling.
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence in dealing with customers & prospective customers.
  • Reliable, organized, and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time to hit goals/quotas.
  • Strong ability to efficiently multi-task and adapt in sales to creatively satisfy customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain records in an ERP system.
  • Possess a current driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
