Diggerland USA is Hiring a Food & Beverage Manager Near West Berlin, NJ

Description:

Diggerland USA Americas only Construction & Water Theme Park is looking for a fun and energetic Food & Beverage. This is a full time year round position. The candidate is responsible for overseeing several dining and concession buildings along with all the Food and Beverage Staff. This person is directly responsible for daily operations of all Food and Beverage activities at Diggerland USA in conjunction with department managers, and should ensure timely and safe service of all food and beverage products to guests. We are passionate about entertaining our guests and providing an exceptional experience while visiting with us.

Position Summary (including but not limited to):

As a Kitchen Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that guests enjoy a pleasurable dining experience. Key responsibilities include guest interaction, management of operating standards for service, facility and equipment in the kitchen, while ensuring staffing and training of the service team

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth while continuously improving customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build relationships with customers, vendors, and associates.
  • Proven track record in maintaining strong cost controls, and quality standards.
  • Ability to review schedules and create.
  • Time management and staffing levels based on peaks and valleys in operational days.

Job Duties:

  • Ability to schedule effectively and maintain a cohesive relationship with staff
  • Train and educate new team members on Diggerland USA philosophies, standards and operations.
  • Create an experience that every guest will seek to repeat.
  • Ensure that guests are receiving great food with a great attitude.
  • Manage all team members under their supervision, including counseling, disciplining and scheduling.
  • Build sales through high standard of quality, service and sanitation.
  • Control costs by constantly training and education team members.
  • Attend weekly management meetings.
  • Build teamwork among team members and fellow managers.
  • Create a fun and energetic environment.
  • Develop menu ideas and roll out new menu product lines
  • Work with vendors to establish optimum COGS pricing
  • Complete inventories on food and beverage including costing analysis
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and high level of integrity

Must be able to work on weekends, handle high volume, and be extremely well organized and detail oriented.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in fast paced high volume operations.
  • Ability to work weekends and occasionally evening for special events.
  • Must be a self starter who can grasp and go quickly.
  • Drug Testing and Back Ground checks are required in advance of employment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, stretch, and climb without any difficulty
  • Able to lift and drag up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
