Digestive Health Specialists (DHS) a GI Ambulatory Surgical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Medical Receptionist to join the team!

What you will be working on:

  • Register and greet patients and answer multiple phone lines
  • Routinely collect copayments and balances
  • Schedule procedures
  • Excellent understanding and experience with insurance carriers and referral requirements
  • Prepare charts and check eligibility in advance for patient schedules
  • Knowledge of billing, invoicing and medical records
  • Ability to manage patient flow from check in to hand off with medical staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

What you’ll know:

  • A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting
  • Knowledge of EMR and medical terminology, including CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, patient registration, charge entry functions or other billing related experience is preferred
  • Scheduling software experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite of products
  • Previous experience handling multiple phone lines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
