Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with our estimators during the project bidding phase, leveraging your expertise to craft winning strategies and comprehensive Scopes of Work. Your input will be instrumental in securing contracts and setting the stage for project success.
  • Meticulous Planning: Take charge of project schedules, meticulously overseeing every phase from pre-construction to final close-out. Your adeptness in scheduling will ensure seamless coordination and timely project completion.
  • Financial Acumen: Develop, review, and adapt project budgets as needed, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Generate insightful Job Cost performance reports to keep stakeholders informed and projects on track.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between Independence Construction and our clients and architects. Your professionalism and attentiveness will foster strong, enduring relationships built on trust and communication.
  • Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts with precision, ensuring compliance and issuing timely notices as required. Your diligence will uphold contractual obligations and protect the interests of all parties involved.
  • Logistical Coordination: Collaborate closely with site superintendents to coordinate materials and services, ensuring efficient project operations and minimizing delays.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is preferred, coupled with a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in construction management or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Demonstrate sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive company matters, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics.
  • Communication Skills: Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Financial Expertise: Exhibit proficiency in budgeting and expense control, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maximizing project efficiency.
  • Analytical Prowess: Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to navigate complex challenges and drive informed decision-making.
  • Organizational Agility: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Construction Knowledge: Bring comprehensive knowledge of various construction delivery systems, allowing you to adapt strategies and approaches to suit the unique needs of each project.
