Who We Are
180 Demo is a leading selective demolition contractor located in Columbus, Ohio. We work with general contractors on their commercial renovation projects to deliver professional, affordable, and safe demolition services. Our purpose is to leverage our company as a way of addressing issues related to criminal justice reform. Our long-term goal is to create a replicable and scalable demolition company that can provide a viable pathway for currently or formerly incarcerated individuals to grow with us and/or launch a career in the trades.
Who You Are
We are looking for a social enterprise spirited Project Manager (PM) with passion for the construction industry and for Fair Chance employment. This motivated team player will be ultimately responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of demolition projects for 180 Demo. Working closely with the Director of Operations, this individual will thrive by building relationships with our general contractor partners and leading our Foremen to deliver professional demolition services. The PM will work with focus and determination to exceed our customer’s expectations, with the mindset of investing in the greater good for 180 Demo’s employees and customers.
The PM will enjoy coaching and mentoring our team members, specifically 180 Demo’s foremen. While supervising and leading them, the PM will prioritize meeting project deadlines and expectations, while ensuring that the foremen are held accountable to organization and professionalism standards. This proactive PM will look ahead to determine possible challenges or questions regarding customer expectations.
Professionalism and integrity is a key focus for Estimator, as he or she understands the value of developing those qualities in the foremen as well. Internally, the PM will coordinate with the Director of Operations and the Director of Human Resources to resolve any staff issues and ensure a positive and encouraging work environment.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing the work schedule, coaching and leading the foremen, and managing customer’s expectations. He or she works closely with the Management team to meet customer expectations and grow 180 Demo’s business.
Manage Work Orders & Schedule –
· Manage the day-to-day schedule, ensuring work is completed on time and in budget.
· Review work orders and timesheets for accuracy and hold foremen accountable to these things.
· Hold the Foremen accountable to managing and tracking equipment and tools, ensuring things are taken care of properly, put in their proper place, and used safely and in the correct way. Includes maintaining the company’s fleet of trucks and heavy equipment.
· Coordinate with the Estimating team to discuss the accuracy of estimating new projects/contracts, especially as it regards site walks and communication with general contractors.
· Lead Foremen training efforts and guide Foremen’s work schedule to ensure our commitments to customers are fulfilled at a high quality and on schedule.
· Works with Director of Operations to track progress of projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure they are completed on time and on budget.
· Adheres to established policies and procedures and pays special attention to safety regulations.
· Ensure OSHA best practices are always maintained by conducting regular site safety visits.
Coach & Mentor Team Members –
· Adherence to and championing of our Core Values in oneself and through entire department: Safety, Integrity, Coachability, Resilience, Relationships, and Professionalism, as well as other professional and life skills integral to personal and professional growth.
· Supervise & equip Foremen, put together teams of Foremen and Laborers, and assist Foremen in leading their teams well.
· Conduct performance evaluations on Foremen.
· Attendance and actively and intentionally engaged participation in meetings, including but not limited to staff meetings, Quality Assurance meetings, and Field Operations meetings.
· Through professionalism both in attitude and work performed, ensures a positive, uplifting, and encouraging work environment for Foremen and Laborers
Manage Customer Expectations –
· Manage current customer expectations by regularly following-up with customers, walking sites, executing on feedback and ensuring a strong and vibrant customer satisfaction experience.

Required
· Knowledge or familiarity with the construction industry.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, plus Dropbox, Gmail, and Google Calendar).
· Valid driver’s license and insurable on 180 Demo’s policy.
· Strong internal and external customer service skills.

Preferred
· Ability to read and comprehend construction plans (strongly preferred) and coordination of demolition project’s scope.
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification (must possess OSHA 10 within first 30 days of employment).
· Experience with leading construction project timelines and coordinating with general contractors
· Experience with management of employees and projects.
Desired
· Experience working with justice-impacted individuals or experience working with those in addiction recovery.
· Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and Building Connected.
· Experience and certification with heavy machine operation, such as aerial lifts, skid steers, power floor machines, and forklifts.
