JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently looking to fill a position for prep cook. As a prep cook, duties may include, but are not limited to, knife skills, use of kitchen equipment, making sure the chefs have enough product for the day, defrosting food items in a safe manner, fill in for our current chefs as needed, take food orders, ring in customer orders, collect payments, prepare food, and provide exceptional customer service to our guests. We will also offer advancement training for the right individual. A great attitude & willingness to learn are going to be quite beneficial!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to prep food products using standardized food preparation techniques.
• Works with all employees as a team and ensures the smooth operation of food production.
• Maintains the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
• Maintains high standard of personal hygiene in compliance with state, county, and company regulations.
• Must be able to visibly recognize ‘condition’ of food and cooking temperatures.
• Works with all employees as a team and ensures the smooth operation of food production.
• Takes food orders from guests.
• Collects payment from guests.
• Prepares all orders and ensures all orders cooked quickly and according to order and portion control.
• Interacts with guests to provide good customer service.
• Enforces all controls as required such as portion control, employee free drinks, and stock rotation.
• Counts monies in cash register at the beginning and end of shift at the vault.
• Prepares paperwork at end of shift, logging any repairs, and documenting any incident or problem.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
