DH Companies, LLC is Hiring a Warehouse Project Manager Near Manassas, VA

DH Companies, LLC is a premier Project Management company. We provide Procurement, Freight/Logistics, Warehousing, Installation and Recycling services pertaining to the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) and Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E) utilized across an array of diverse industries, with a specialization in the hospitality industry.

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Project Manager, you will play an integral role in facilitating the day-to-day operations and organization related to the receiving, storing, inventorying, handling out/staging and shipping out/delivery of inventory primarily pertaining to FF&E. You will serve as a main point of contact for the DH in-house project management team and external resources, such as carriers, temporary labor sources, etc. You will have the overall management responsibility for multiple projects within the warehouse.

More specifically, you will:

· Interact daily with Warehouse Manager and Local Operations Manager.

· Handle all inbound deliveries by creating Warehouse Receiving Reports (WRRs), after team confirms counts, scanning documentation such as Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Packing Lists (PLs), saving to shared drive and sending to DH PM Team as well as filing hardcopies in organized manner.

· Manage the overall storing and organization within the warehouse.

· Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and shipments, as needed.

· Monitor and inspect inbound trucks prior to unloading to document any potential damages or issues, and after loading outbound trucks inspect to ensure accuracy and proper loading/stabilization of shipment.

· Coordinate with DH PM Team regarding deliveries to site.

· Manage and prepare outbound requests by accurately completing Delivery Tickets (DTs) for individual projects, printing two copies for driver to bring to destination, scanning signed DTs from driver upon return, saving to shared drive, and emailing to DH PM Team; also filing hardcopies in organized manner.

· Accurately maintain, update and report project inventories.

· Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

· Promptly report all damages to DH PM Team including pictures and details such as project name, spec #, vendor and description of damage.

· Maintain damage log for each project.

· Maintain monthly billing reconciliation for each project using Salesforce or other means deemed appropriate.

· Assist Warehouse Manager, Local Operations Manager and Accounting with determining client invoice amounts.

· Ensure that all inbound and outbound activity, as well as damages and any potentially additional labor requirements are accurately documented, and reported, including usage of pictures, within 1 (one) business day of activity.

· Monitor scope of work in warehouse contracts and determine Change Orders once original scope is exhausted. Includes documenting and communicating additional labor requirements above and beyond standard practice needs, along with Warehouse Manager and Local Operations Manager.

· Manage all carrier delivery appointments.

· Create and maintain calendar of carrier deliveries to warehouse as well as outbound deliveries using DH trucks and 3rd party carriers.

· Assist Warehouse Manager and Local Operations Manager with creating and managing weekly/daily workload based on anticipated inbound and outbound shipments, to be printed and hung by dock doors.

· Source, contract and schedule local labor based on anticipated daily/weekly schedule.

· Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.

· Issue written and oral instructions.

· Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

· Communicate daily with Warehouse Manager and Local Operations Manager to control and maximize workload.

· Ensure warehouse and surrounding lot is clean, orderly and able to pass fire, DOD, DOS and OSHA inspections.

· Manage and approve daily timecards for all subordinate staff to minimize overtime expense and maximize productivity levels for all temporary laborers, as applicable.

· Problem-solve as necessary to provide excellent customer service, interact with service providers by phone and email, and occasionally in person.

· Ensure that all e-mail exchanges have been responded to timely and properly completed.

· Notify management of any mistakes or discrepancies found.

· Follow and enforce warehouse protocols such as cleanliness, locking doors, turning off lights, overall safety, etc.

· Monitor security cameras to mitigate potential theft.

· Review and approve warehouse labor/subcontractor invoices.

· Act as point person with setting up deliveries coming into/out of the warehouse.

· Act as point person for warehouse vendors such as providers of packaging materials, dumpsters, labor, racking, etc.

· Source, contract, and schedule dumpsters, when necessary.

· Assist with ordering new equipment, racking, vaults, etc. for new facility.

· Be responsible for organizing office.

· Communicate all information in a timely manner to internal teams.

· Maintain all project communication and files based on company’s organizational structure.

· Assist with researching and resolving potential labor-related discrepancies and disputes.

· Participate in weekly project meetings and others as needed.

· Order warehouse supplies.

· Assist with maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment, ensuring that all is up to date and within Federal, State and Local regulations.

· Become forklift trained and certified.

· Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed.

· Complete continuous Company Training as assigned.

· Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

· College degree or technical school certificate; or one year related Household Goods management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to write simple, clear and accurate correspondence.

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Valid Driver's License.

· Ability to obtain Commonwealth of Virginia Weigh Master Permit.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, perform office desk work.

· The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

· The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision; Position requires the ability to hear for safety reasons.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Must have advanced organizational skills and be fully capable of multi-tasking.
