Directions for Youth & Families offers community-based mental health and prevention services that utilize a resiliency-oriented and trauma-informed framework. DFYF has provided innovative, culturally sensitive, and successful programming to the Central Ohio community since 1899, through our predecessor Crittenton Family Services. Presently, DFYF’s programs are divided into 3 categories: Treatment, Prevention, and Education. DFYF offers specialized mental health, kindergarten readiness, afterschool and summer programming to meet the diverse needs of our youth and family population. DFYF proudly serves over 5,500 youth, adults, and families each year. All of our programs strive to fulfill our mission to build and inspire hope, healing, and resilience for youth, families, and communities through counseling and education.

Position Overview:

DFYF is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Director of Marketing and Development. The Director of Marketing and Development is responsible for the creation of an innovative & integrated marketing strategy that will strengthen and cultivate opportunities for our organization, that lead to increased awareness, fundraising revenue, and community relations. This position oversees the management of our annual, capital and planned giving campaign programs. This position will execute traditional and innovative campaigns across the broad spectrum of today's marketing channels. The Director of Marketing and Development shall lead with strategic, creative, and financial intelligence as well as a diverse skill set to take our organization to the next level. This position will collaborate closely with the leadership team and oversees the D&M support services to develop and execute strategic plans that promote and advance the Directions for Youth & Families’ mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Board, management, program staff, and key constituents to establish and execute a comprehensive advancement plan based on short and long-range program goals.
• Participate in individual, corporate, and foundation solicitation, maintaining contact with significant donors.
• Strategically establish networks and cultivate relationships with current and key prospective donors and funders.
• Integrate grants management, including grant writing, and relationship management with foundation and corporate funders, working in conjunction with Grants Manager.
