Development Finance is Hiring a VICE PRESIDENT, OFFICE OF INVESTMENT FUNDS Near Washington, DC

This position is part of the Office of Investment Funds, U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). As the Vice President of Office of Investment Funds you will have overall responsibility for leading and managing the Office of Investment Funds of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.

You may qualify at the SL-00 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-15 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in all of the following:

1. Experience developing and managing an equity and/or investment funds program;
2. Experience analyzing business plans for equity investments in emerging markets, evaluating effectiveness of a fund structure for a target market and investment thesis, and developing and/or negotiating fund investment terms and conditions; AND
3. Experience investing in emerging markets and effectively managing associated risks.

AND

MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): Maximum of two pages per MTQ. Applicants must address the following mandatory qualifications separate paper from their resumes. Statements must provide specific examples that address relevant experience, accomplishments and evidence that you possess demonstrated superior technical qualifications. You will not be considered for this position if you fail to submit qualification statements specifically addressing each mandatory technical qualification requirement.

1. Demonstrated ability providing effective leadership and supervision to subordinates in a multi-tiered organization.
2. Demonstrated experience providing strategic leadership and direction in planning, implementing, and evaluating short- and long-range initiatives to support strategic business plans and cross-functional business solutions.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of private equity fund/investment terms and conditions, capital markets, private equity investment vehicles and structures, fund management process and procedures, and corporate governance, with relevant emerging markets experience.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of emerging market private equity general partner operations and issues faced in the formulation, investment, management, and disposition of a fund or equity investment.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
