Established Elder Law Firm is looking for an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team in the Probate Department. The Firm's practices areas include: litigation, probate, benefit planning, guardianship, fiduciary services, estate planning, corporations and real estate. Preference will be given to candidates with related experience in any of the Firm's practice areas. This position includes: Communicating and meeting with clients/attorneys/colleagues; preparation of pleadings, accountings, and approval of fiduciary reports; tracking and calendaring court deadlines; reconciling accounting information provided by clients; completing court filings and scheduling hearings; and working within a team of Paralegals for the overall efficiency of the Firm.
Seeking a Paralegal with a minimum of Paralegal Certificate/Associates Degree AND/OR 1-3 years of related law office experience. This is a full-time position in the office with flexibility in scheduled work hours available. There may be an option to have a hybrid work from home position within one year depending on Firm's needs and employee's performance. Background check will be performed. Applicants MUST reside in WASHINGTON STATE within reasonable distance to be considered. Interviews are in-person only.
Requirements:
Must have prior law office experience preferably related to the Firm's practice areas;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel);
Passion for excellence and constant growth/improvement;
Ability to prioritize and work efficiently;
Detail oriented, including the ability to use proper punctuation and grammar. If there are mistakes in your resume or cover letter you will not be considered;
Professionalism with other attorneys, Court staff and families experiencing difficult situations.
