Medical Assistant/Aesthetician position is responsible for the care & treatment of our patients. Your responsibilities will include performing skin analysis consultations, performing aesthetician treatments, developing and teaching skin care from our service and product line. You will also serve our providers by preparing patients for examination, assist in procedures and perform a variety of patient and clinic care tasks under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. Duties range widely from administrative to clinical.

Skills, abilities and requirements:

• Warmly greet and welcome your patients
• Confer with patients about their aesthetic objectives, analyze skin type, coordinate care with SBC providers and create an appropriate treatment plan and at-home skincare routine
• Provide education to patients regarding procedure to be performed you and/or recommended by our providers as well as the products that will be used during procedures
• Prepare patients skin for facial treatments and administer facial treatments for conditions and requests including: mild to moderate acne, advanced acne, rosacea, eczema, age-defying, brightening, tightening, toning, general maintenance and custom facials, enzyme and chemical peels and micro-dermabrasion treatments.
• Select a procedure that best conforms to the needs of the patient, their desired outcome, timeline and financial requirements
• Maintain ongoing communication and consistent follow-up with current and prospective patients
• Maintain patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines at all times
• Real time documentation including but not limited to taking medical histories, recording patients' chief complaint and documenting provider evaluation notes of visit in patients chart
• Proper and compliant electronic documentation of clinical and service notes, turned in with 24-hours of the patients visit
• Cleaning, organizing, stocking/restocking and maintaining exam rooms for clinical, surgical, cosmetic and aesthetician procedures and assisting providers during exams with patient care
• Mastery-level knowledge of our private label and additional product line(s)
• Maintain and self-audit standard of care and licensing boards regulations are regularly met and consistently maintained
• Scheduling & rescheduling patient appointments as needed.
• Chart preparation for following business day
• Notify patients at check in if they will have to pay at checkout.
• Collect all monies due at time of service and post payments collected from patient balance
• Maintain public spaces, such as waiting rooms to ensure they are clean, comfortable and organized.
• Competently navigate and use all computer applications, including practice management systems, EMRs, internet-based applications and standard office applications.
• Assist patients at check in, including, but not limited to:
• Confirming/entering patient demographics into the practice management system
• Assisting patients in completing consents, forms & obtaining copies of identification cards.
• Document and call no shows
• Assist patients at check out, including but not limited to:
• Collecting & posting payments from deductibles, elective procedures & cosmetic treatments.
• Assisting with product sales.
• Various marketing, promotional, cosmetic event and PR duties
• Highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, dependable and focused
• Professional presence appropriate to a medical office setting.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed aesthetician, original license must be posted in office
• Medical Office Experience
• Sales Experience
• Medical Assistant Certification (Strongly Preferred)
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

Wage Range - $25.00/hr commission - $28.00/hr commission DOE
