Job Description:

We are looking for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst with at least 6 years of experience and strong experience with Web Services/ APIs.

Top Desired Skills:

• Ability to understand desired feature functionality from business and technical documentation and/or through communication with stakeholders
• Technical understanding of APIs & webservices - REST & SOAP - feeding into web, mobile, enterprise and custom applications used to run the business
• Documentation skills to verify and validate API performance & function (no coding, but the ability to read, interpret code is required)
• Understanding of microservices approach, how to leverage APIs for connectivity and integration across symbiotic applications

Looking for a Systems Analyst to help them review, analyze, improve, and document current and future API performance & functionality, used to connect applications and run the business . Following a large-scale merger in 2022, Microservices and APIs were leveraged to connect the systems and applications across the two newly joined organizations - That work will continue as well as advancement into new features and functionality as RTX continues to optimize their technical platforms and landscape.

The ideal team member will have a strong understanding of requirements from both a business and technical perspective, the ability to look at an API and analyze.

1) What should this API be doing per the documentation/communication

2) What is the API actually doing

3) Ability to document and communicate their analysis with steps towards resolution for anything needing further attention. No writing of code is required, but the ability to be 'hands on' with code and interpret the API performance is critical to be successful in this role.
