This is a hybrid position, and candidates must reside within traveling distance of the headquarters, located in Seattle. The role involves in-person monthly meetings with fellow VPs, occasional extended leadership meetings, and may require additional on-site attendance based on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
The VP of HR will lead a team of dynamic HR professionals to transform the department into a model of service excellence while fostering a healthy culture, a robust human resources function, and strong administration. Oversight of the entire talent lifecycle (including performance management), employee benefits, employee engagement, payroll, and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations will be paramount.
Day to day, you will also be expected to:

• Serve as the primary HR advisor to the Chief Diversity and People Officer and the Executive Team.
• Build a robust people-centric strategy aligned with Salal's mission and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the CDPO and leadership to foster a diverse and inclusive talent strategy and culture.
• Lead the development and advancement of HR change management initiatives to guarantee successful implementation.
• Continuously improve the employee experience through events, feedback systems, and interactions.
• Participate in committees and contribute to special projects.

ARE YOU THE LEADER WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will use their experience in Human Resources to advance the work of our HR department through a lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Experience required for the position:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 10 progressive HR experience, including 5 years in senior HR roles or 7 years in a supervisory capacity. In lieu of a degree, candidates must have at least 13-15 years of progressive experience in human resources management roles, showing comprehensive expertise in strategic HR practices and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
• Preferred Qualifications: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certifications. Experience in financial services or retail, advanced degrees, HR management experience in complex environments, advanced HR certifications, and EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) certifications or training, or experience in organizations with strong EDI initiatives.

• Competitive base salary of $140,200.78 - $196,281.09 annually. This reflects the entire salary range for this position. Most candidates can expect an offer between $159,828.89 - $168,240.94 annually depending on experience.
