ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR I (SPECIALIST) – ACCOUNTING SERVICES SECTION / GENERAL LEDGER UNIT / HEADQUARTERS
The reporting location for this position is Headquarters located in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor).
The Accounting Administrator I (Specialist) will maintain responsibility for highly complex reconciliations and reporting. They will work independently in a highly technical area and will require a high level of coordination and cooperation with other areas. This person acts as a lead for the General Ledger Unit, which is responsible for 32 funding sources including General Fund, Federal Funds, Bond Funds, Special Funds and three small agencies. The incumbent is required to have knowledge of professional accounting practices and principles utilized in State Government. They will also provide technical assistance and training to departmental staff to resolve complex system and accounting issues, write procedures, and prepare data flow diagrams to document processes. They should provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, interacting in a professional manner with integrity and respect.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible. This position is remote centered.
