Position Summary
The University of New Mexico's College of Nursing is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Technician to join our team of professionals. The College of Nursing employs 150 employees, including faculty and staff, and varying numbers of part-time faculty, on-call staff, working retirees, as well as graduate and undergraduate student employees. The successful candidate will demonstrate support for diversity, equity and inclusion as well as participate in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment. The technician will assist in the management of Human Resource functions.
Responsibilities :
- Work within tight deadlines and drive to see things through completion
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment is essential
- Process employee data utilizing an automated HR information systems and Excel spreadsheets
- Compose memos and emails and perform business math calculations
- Planning and coordination of onboarding
- Recording meeting minutes as needed

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED;at least 3 years ofexperience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong verbal and written communication skills as evidenced in your cover letter
- Previous management experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
