Established litigation firm in Boca Raton, Florida is looking for a litigation associate to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to further their career in litigation. Ideal candidates must be ready to take on challenging legal cases. Litigation Associates with the firm are responsible for conducting legal research and analysis; drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs; assisting with trial preparation; participating in court proceedings; conducting client interviews; collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies; reviewing and analyzing legal documents, contracts, and agreements; and maintaining accurate and organized case files and documentation.
This position is based out of the firm’s Boca Raton, Florida office with the opportunity to have a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside within an acceptable driving distance to the office so as to be able to attend meetings, meet with clients and cover trials, depositions and mediations.
Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Associate or similar role at a firm
• Must have a Florida Bar license in good standing and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Must have strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
• Must be proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw
• Must have excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
• Must have experience in negotiating settlements and litigating cases in court
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must have familiarity with case management software and document management systems
