JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Security Sergeant, Turnaround (TAR) Security Officers provide protection of work sites, personnel, and assets from events such as trespassing, unauthorized entry, and other disruptive incidents. Performing access control at a perimeter gate (traffic or walk-thru booth) or conducting security patrols is the core function of the position.
This is a temporary, full-time position for the period of refinery turnaround maintenance at a client site. Duration is approx. 6-8 weeks, with potential permanent employment dependent upon staffing vacancies and the individual’s work performance.
*Applicable WA security license, fingerprinting, and TWIC fees will be paid by the employer.
WORK SCHEDULE
Turnaround Security Officers work 12-hour day or night shifts on a 7-day schedule. Every two weeks, employees work 64 hours at a regular pay rate, with 20 hours paid as overtime. During a turnaround period, this position has an opportunity to earn additional overtime pay working extra shifts.
Open availability and flexibility are required to meet the contract needs of the client.
There are times when employees may be asked to work on days that would ordinarily be their scheduled days off. These additional pay opportunities include scheduled refinery turnaround periods and covering open shifts when needed.
