Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is Hiring a Building Manager Near Washington, DC
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Staff Assistants at the Front Desk and coordinate with the security officer team for the building.
- Ensure that all Senator room and event space scheduling is accurate. Tidy call time rooms and event space before and after events. Oversee all building operations, including but not limited to, maintenance and major repairs in compliance with building code and requirements.
- Oversee existing building improvement projects, working in partnership with a general contractor, including overseeing a number of projects based around the election cycle.
- Lead building management board to determine what improvements are needed for the DSCC HQ in both the short and long term.
- Liaise between the building vendors and the DSCC, leading requests to vendors as required.
- Oversee DSCC physical security, including management of the security officer team and notify staff of security incidents as necessary.
- Organize building as necessary, ensuring that the items are restocked on a daily basis.
- Liaise with the IT department to ensure that the building IT needs are met.
- Excellent knowledge of building services and facility management.
- Security experience within a political organization or private corporation (preferred).
- Experience in managing contract security officers.
- Knowledge of OSHA and building codes.
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices. (Preferred)
- Able to prioritize, multi-task, follow-through, and remain organized with attention to detail while working independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Google Suite. (Preferred)
- Personable, enthusiastic, possessing a strong customer focus and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Strong team player and supervisor, able to build strong relationships with others in the department.
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Ability to work long and extended hours as needed.
This position is based in DC. This position is expected to work out of the DSCC office located on Capitol Hill.
