    Position Title:
    Supervisor of Early Learning
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Administrative Certification.
    • At least five years of successful elementary teaching experience.
    • Experience in facilitating training for teachers and administrators.
    • Experience overseeing federal, state and local budgets.
    • Experience in writing grants to support programming.
    • Clean criminal background check, TB test and child protection registry clearance must be completed prior to employment.
    Primary Duties:
    • Work to create, extend, and sustain a comprehensive and cohesive network of early learning partners to increase the opportunity for children, birth through age eight, and their families to access high quality early childhood opportunities.
    • Provide analysis and appropriate recommendations around the Delaware Early Learner Survey (DE-ELS), Childhood Outcome Survey (COS), and Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG) data.
    • Observes, consults and assists early learning teachers in their instructional planning and delivery.
    • Work to strengthen and align district and state policies.
    • Overcome fragmentation, fill gaps in standards and services, and improve oversight and accountability within all early learning programs across the district.
    • Implement and monitor a Multi-Tiered Support System to provide early intervention within the early learning programs.
    • Promote and establish a year round Kindergarten registration process for parents and the community.
    • Ensure that Early Entrance to Kindergarten and Delay Entrance to Kindergarten is implemented with fidelity.
    • Attend and serve on state level committees to implement and provide feedback on new policies.
    • Develop and implement professional development.
    • Monitor Child Find requirements at the state and local level to ensure compliance.
    • Create a system of documentation to ensure that all federal and state regulations are followed in regards to timelines for special education students served in early learning programs across the district.
    • Participate in state level IDEA 619 meetings monthly.
    • Implement regular professional development to early learning faculty on the federal, state, and local regulations regarding a continuum of services.
    • Oversee federal, state and local budget along with grant money.
    • All other duties as assigned.
