Vaco is Hiring a Business Development Manager Near Detroit, MI
- Act as primary liaison and trusted advisor for assigned Practice Group Leaders (PGLs) and teams, offering strategic guidance, initiating business development, and marketing support
- Collaborate with lead partners, lawyers, and business support colleagues to formulate and execute business development strategies, enhancing market visibility and generating new business
- Conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify opportunities with target clients, while maintaining knowledge of legal market dynamics
- Drive pitching and new business generation efforts, managing large pitches, proposals, and RFPs, and providing strategic coaching to enhance effectiveness
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop integrated branding campaigns, manage thought leadership initiatives, and oversee the production of marketing materials
- Manage and develop the business development and marketing team, ensuring adherence to best practices and providing support on larger team initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field; J.D. or MBA preferred
- Minimum five years of experience in marketing or business development within legal or professional services, ideally supporting transactional practices
- Strong understanding of corporate law, particularly in private equity, M&A, capital markets, and financing
- Mastery of business development competencies, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking ability, and proficiency in relevant technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
