DeHaai Industrial Sales & Service is a dynamic and growing Bobcat Dealership Group with stores in Ohio and Indiana. Our growth has resulted in the need for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant. This position will be primarily remote but will require occasional travel to all locations. Additionally we prefer that you reside within 45 minutes of our Lafayette, IN store. Due to the remote nature of this position, self-motivation, self-discipline, and ongoing communication with managers and team members is vital for success.

Key Responsibilities:

The Accountant will play a critical role in our continued growth and development of our accounting and financial processes and workflows. Reporting to the CFO the key responsibilities of the Accountant include:

• Maintain and upate accounting records.
• Complete monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Create and develop schedules and workpapers to support reconciliations and analysis. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are critical for success.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze accounts for accuracy, variances, and trends.
• Assist with external accounting review and audits.
• Contribute or lead projects to develop and implement value-added accounting processes to improve efficiencies.
• Collaborate effectively with team members at various locations.
• Support and back-up accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Ensure transactions are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associate Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a general or staff accountant role.
• Ability to work with Confidential information and maintain Confidentiality.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
• Proficient in performing account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Great organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and excellent Excel skills are critical.
• Ability to use business system software in completion of work. Experience with Intellidealer or other dealership-based accounting software is preferred but not required.
• Approachable and ability to work well both as team member and on your own.
• Strong written and verbal communciation skills.
• Desire to continue to learn new skills and share knowledge with others.
• Attention to detail and completing work accurately and timely are vital.
• Desire to have some fun along the way.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,800.00 - $56,160.00 per year
