Deer Valley Resort is Hiring a Lodging Reservations Sales Supervisor - Year Round Near Park, UT

Collaborate with other supervisors in the Lodging Reservations department and act as manager-on-duty in the Manager's absence. Ensure Deer Valley's Mission of “classic, consistent quality from a winning team” is met with each guest and employee interaction. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide all necessary assistance to manager and sales team, helping with coaching, motivating sales team, guest problem resolution and daily departmental duty completion. Responsible for recruiting, training, supervision, scheduling and evaluation of Reservations team members. Ensure Vacation Planner schedules are set and posted in a timely manner and in accordance with business volume. Primary point of contact for daily staff questions and guest resolution. Develop and maintain training tools to effectively and efficiently onboard new Vacation Planners. Coaching and mentoring sales agents on a regular and ongoing basis. Create and maintain SOP for following up on quotes. Responsible for consistently tracking and following every unconfirmed itinerary through to booking, or marking as a dead lead. Reporting various metrics on a regular basis as well as upon request. Common reports include daily sales by product and by agent, weekly call volume, bookings, revenue, conversion, and service level, and Vacation Planner incentives. Staying in close contact with each Vacation Planner, must be able to identify caller trends, frequently asked questions, pain points, etc. and be able to quickly and confidently take action, or determine what needs to be escalated to the Manager. Schedule and host regular meetings with Vacation Planners, both one-on-one and as a group. Report relevant sales metrics and clearly communicate upcoming targets and goals. Stay up-to-date on lodging availability, rates, inventory, minimum length of stay, and promotions, and make recommendations based on observable market trends or conditions. Support sales team as needed by answering phones, assisting with guest questions, handing guest issues, and booking reservations. Assist Manager and supervisory team with recurring and occasional tasks and special projects, including but not limited to: lodging comp and discount requests, employee discount program, requests for room moves, 3rd party bookings, Delta Fly Free promotion approvals, etc. Act as a backup Vacation Planner as needed based on call volume and staffing levels. Attendance and participation at all required meetings and trainings. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a mature, dependable, flexible, "team-oriented" person. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior call center experience, specifically in sales of high-end lodging accommodations preferred. Previous experience supervising a team of incentivized sales agents. Problem solving skills, exceptional guest service skills, and ability to remain calm, confident, and polite in all interactions with staff and guests required. Detail orientation in all facets. Comfortable learning and using reservation, telephony, and productivity software such as Inntopia, Maestro, Nice InContact, Microsoft suite, UKG, Workday. If unfamiliar with these programs, must be confident in ability to learn new software quickly and intuitively after basic training is provided. Prior hospitality industry experience helpful. Available for varied and extensive shifts as hours of operation and work volume dictate. Some travel may be required. Weekends and/or Holidays required as necessary. This position is not remote and requires relocation. Combination of in-office and remote work to be determined as workload dictates and at the discretion of the Manager.
