Dealer Inspire is Hiring a Remote Business Intelligence Engineer

The ideal candidate will have:

● Excellent analytical and problem solving skills working with a variety of data sets,including big data generated through clickstream● Experience enabling business intelligence capabilities across multiple lines of business● Knowledge and experience in various reporting platforms and their advancedfunctionality● Strong knowledge in design and implementation of reporting models and data marts● Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as a part of largercross-functional teams● The ability to take on complex tasks and work towards being a subject matter expert in abusiness or data domain● The ability to Implement solutions to complex problems from start to finish withoutdirection/oversight and demonstrate ownership through the entire life of projects● The ability to understand the tradeoffs between technical, analytical, and product needsand drive solutions that take each of these into account

Required Skills

● Regularly participate in team discussions, providing routine guidance and feedback, andleading by example● Strong knowledge in design and implementation of reporting models and data marts● Solid understanding of relational DB and DW concepts, best practices and datamodeling design● Able to define project priorities and scope with minimal direction● Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the team● Collaborates on team values, ceremonies, and procedure improvement● Build complex queries on large data sets and performance tune as needed● Translate business needs into data visualizations

● Collaborate with data platform teams

● Foster self-service analytic environment by providing domain and tool expertise● Perform root cause analysis on reporting and data issues● Ability to self-motivate, set goals, prioritizes and meet deadlines● Ability to partner with internal and external peer groups to design and implementsolutions.● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills● Create technical documentation

Required Experience

● 3 years of experience in complex SQL programming● Professional experience with data visualization tools; such as Tableau or QuickSight● Ability to work with large databases in Cloud environments● Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and technologies● Ability to communicate with internal and external teams both verbally and written● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field

Desired Experience

● Prior experience with enterprise data governance initiatives, including implementingenterprise level tools and processes.
